What to expect at your first dental visit at our Highlands Ranch dental office

Every dental office will handle a patients first dental appointment differently to some degree. Highlands Ranch dentists Dr. James DeLapp Dr. H. Candace DeLapp and Dr. Sarah Parsons firmly believe that understanding the health of each patient is paramount to meeting our patients dental needs. Our goal is to detail and  fully diagnose your dental health  and give you the options of how to address these conditions.  Once armed with this information our Highlands Ranch dental patients are able to make an “informed decision” on how they wish to proceed.

Will you get your teeth cleaned at your first visit?

Truly this is a great question with no absolute answer. If you have maintained your dental health and have few dental needs then most likely the answer is yes. If the time between dental visits has been delayed then collecting data to adequately diagnose your dental health may be the best use of time at your first visit.

Order of information gathering at your first dental visit

The order of information gathered at your first dental visit follows this general sequence.

  • General information and health history-is dentistry safe for your?
